Recent un-employment and no car means i am now having to stay very local!!!! so decide to concentrate on southowram, using the parish boundry which is Red Beck in the east, River Calder to the south, the Hebble in the west and the A58 to the north, for ease i have ammended it slightly.............

warbler sp
in the few trees at Pit House Farm, picked up on call which to my ears sounded 'whoeet' like but squeaky, i managed to see the bird briefly feeding in the tree,an obvious phylloscopus warbler, feeding on the outer most leaves,in size it was between a blue tit and goldcrest( blue tit present) very active constantly moving from leaf to leaf before flying off to the trees nearer the lane, after looking for 20 minutes it became obvious it had moved on.
i only noted plumage wise it had green upperparts, pale greyish underparts, one obvious wing bar the head pattern could not be made out due to it moving and being above me.
