very nice up here today, warm even in a strong south-easterly the black terns have still not appeared, but the first ever spring willow warbler singing his little head off in the beech tree by the pumphouse! i get few of these in autumn but spring its a rare.
also 1 wheatear and 5 swallows ok its not exactly spurn but still its my patch.

its sunny!

well the sun was well and truly out this evening up the 'with'. not a lot about apart from 2 swallows heading south.
2 dunlin the first for the year up here were showing at about 4m so i thought id give the kenko pro 300 dg 1.4x converter ago,i must admit since getting it last year i've been a bit disappointed with it ,but having found out that a flaw with canon dslr's is that the center point focus point is,well crap, and having all set will result in it 'hunting' too much,i stuck it on one of the right handside points.
and bingo!

birds in flight,wheldrake and bubwith

yesterday was spent tidying the garden, though i managed to get in the evening to elland gravel pits i overlooked a adult shag sat on the ramp(doh!!!) it was small and black i should of paid more attention!

after visiting the parents in selby,i headed to wheldrake,ok it was warm but still rained now and again.lots of swifts.
swifts are very tricky to photograph so i used, iso 250-800 and underexposed by 2 full stops as it was a grey sky.
