ashday wood(well thats what im going to call it from now) was great with lesser spotted woodpecker,nuthatch and blackcap also green woodpecker.

who lost a horse?

had a wander up walshaw dean this afternoon with nick d,as the place was dead we chatted about the usual..................local patches,rares,cbcg,the report and various other stuff.and to make matters worse we stopped off at high royd sf,which has to be the worst site in the world the place is shit.
the highlight of the day this horse.

well after the excitment during the week it had to end.but it was so sunny and warm i was not expecting much apart from the osprey i bought,but the fucker has not turned up.

collared dove where are they going?

after yesterdays goshawk,the good run continued with this collared dove(not many at 1250ft), only my second record up here at the 'with'.the first record was also last april.
it was very shy and skittish,so a migrant.but from where? collared dove movement is a bit unusual i think. i will have to do a bit of research!!!!
